We believe Scripture speaks to all of life, which means, we need to speak truth into all of life.

There needs to be theology, biblical instruction, and cultural engagement from teachers within the local church. With the advent of new media, parishioners can skirt the authority of the local church and get their real teaching elsewhere. So, they politely tolerate the teaching of their local church, but are actually shaped by their favorite celebrity preacher in another state. This ought not be. Seeking good teaching on the Internet is fine (repeat it is fine, not just fine, fine and dandy!), as long as it is supplemental. The problem is that churches facilitate this problem by giving their congregants virtually nothing. For example, church members are going to listen to podcasts, so local churches should be producing podcasts for their people;(not primarily for other people), but not just podcasts, good podcasts. Church members are going to read Christian blogs and articles online, so local churches should be producing edifying content for their people to read ... and it needs to be well written. The elders of each local church are responsible for the souls of their flock (Heb. 13:17), so we need to be teaching them.

This blog is a way to address more issues than can be handled in a 25 min sermon and 5 min exhortation. It is a way to instruct, teach, and edify on more topics. It is also a way to answer specific questions.
