About

This is a two-part conference with an afternoon session geared for pastors and an evening session for anyone interested in entrepreneurship. Although the afternoon is intended for pastors, anyone is welcome to attend these sessions.

Afternoon Sessions

The Apostle Paul was not only the best-educated apostle, and one of the most influential intellectuals in the history of the world, he was a tradesman. He made tents for a living. It was the perfect trade for a man on the road.

In 1 Corinthians 9 he made the case for making a living from the gospel, yet he didn’t take advantage of his right to do so. He even said, “But I have made no use of (my) rights, nor am I writing these things to you to secure any such provision. For I would rather die than have anyone deprive me of my ground for boasting.” (1 Cor. 9:15) Could you say that? Would you like to be able to?

Because Paul was able to support himself financially he enjoyed the sort of freedom that many pastors today can only dream of. But not all pastors. There are a few who even today enjoy the sort of freedom Paul boasted of. And they’ve done it while seeing their ministries actually prosper because of it. Would you like to learn how? Join us, October 17th in Huntsville, Alabama to hear more.

Evening Sessions

While the afternoon session is designed for pastors, the evening is focused on anyone interested in developing a side-gig that might grow into a livelihood someday. Please join us for a discussion of entrepreneurship on a shoe-string — all while keeping your day job.

Troy Albee

Troy is the pastor of Grace Presbyterian South Shore (PCA), a congregation he helped plant in Hanover, Massachusetts over 12 years ago. Although originally from North Carolina, he is grateful to call New England home and has been an active part of different church planting networks and his local presbytery.

Troy graduated from Furman University before pursuing a M.Div from Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando. For over 20 years he has loved and labored with his wife Krista (a gifted educator and musician from the Midwest). They are currently raising their four children (three sons and a daughter).

Almost ten years ago, Troy used his entrepreneurial skills to begin a side business in the automotive locksmith industry. That company has expanded to become a full-service mobile locksmith business. He is also a real estate investor with experience in home remodeling.

Amongst other things, Troy enjoys skiing, bow, hunting, and acquiring Milwaukee tools.

Dylan Stinson

Dylan Stinson has been a professional woodworker for six years, and a pastor for four. He started woodworking to make extra money while in seminary. His original goal was to make $200 a month, and within a few months it turned out to be a full-time job. Through woodworking, he was able to set his own work schedule, pay off debts, save monthly for a down-payment on a house, and bring his wife to a point where she only worked a few hours a week, instead of full-time.

Now, as a full-time pastor, he uses woodworking as a profitable side-income for all sorts of expenses and investments. Besides the financial blessings, woodworking has helped him bond with his oldest daughter (six), who is always eager to build. His three-year-old daughter often tags along too.
